Great movie!

This movie was definitely a good one - the acting, script, costumes, sets, digital art, and make-up were all superb. The few changes they made to the original plot were interesting, added to the drama, and kept me interested for the entire 3 hours! I will definitely see it again before it leaves theaters.

Enjoyed the movie. Excited to see some returning characters especially Gandalf. Acting was great. Was surprised by some of the humorous additions but feel it didn't take away too much from the film. Definitely recommend for others to see.

The Hobbit

A good movie. Lots of Violence. Very similar to Lord of the Rings. The ending left you wanting more. What happens next? I took both my kids, ages 9 and 13, both were a little scared throughout the movie.

Wait for the DVD....disappointing

Acting is good, cinematography good, effects good but the story and dialogue are mediocre at best. Nowhere near the quality of Lord of the Rings. I was definitely disappointed and bored. They were trying too hard and should have made one Great movie instead of 3 movies to make money. All action and no quality.

To derivative of LOTR

The LOTR films were to right, correct tone and feel. The Hobbit should have been much lighter in feel. It felt like the Hobbit is just a continuation of LOTR, to the point that it felt like they used the same shots for the film. To long and to dark for what it should have been.
