Wonderful movie in a freezing cold theatre

The Hobbit is everything we expected and more. A beautifully made film, impressive technical effects, great actors. The UA Greenwood Plaza 12 Movie Showtimes, on Arapahoe Road, is basically a nice theatre. This is the second movie I've seen there in the last month where the theatre was freezing cold. We all had to keep coats, gloves and hats on during the movie. Even with a smaller audience, the management at this theatre should make an effort to keep their patrons comfortable. If the decision to keep the heat at below 50 degrees is coming from United Artists or Regal, they should have their heads examined. I won't be back at this theatre any time soon.

Epic and worthy of the book

It is hard to be successful when you attempt to turn a cult classic book into a film particularly when its audience crosses so large an age range, but this first installment of the Hobbit has done an excellent job. It has a feeling of being ever so large as the story and world the book relates. The settings are breathtaking and the visual effects spectacular. The acting is solid in roles that are far from human relatable in some ways, but in others are deep. We caught the premiere and definitely felt the trade-off of sleep for the experience was worth it. We'll be telling others they need to experience it whether they have read the book or not.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 3D

This movie was amazing! Peter Jackson made a big change using so much more CGI, but it was the best decision he could have made, as the 3D effects had everyone on the edge of their seats because of it. I couldn't have asked for a better interpretation, or visual effects. Peter Jackson has raised the bar!

The Hobbit Review

The Hobbit is a very fun movie! It is not as well planned as Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, but it is a good fantasy about dwarves on a mission to reclaim their kingdom. Gollum steals the show in the riddles in dark scene. It also leaves you on a big cliffhanger at the end, to leaving you waiting for The Desolation of Smaug, out December 2013. The Hobbit is quite an enjoyable experience at the movies!
