So, yes the heat was a funny movie--there were a lot of laughs, albeit in a shallow kind of way because the humor in the movie was just bizarre and the 'angry mean obese woman picking on the skinny pretty girl' is a little old. It was mostly mccarthy telling bullock how a straight follow the rules prude she is, and how mccarthy was just so amazing or something um yeah sure? There was very little connection or care for the characters as everything was done in a shallow manner as movies are done these days, and there was little audience connection to the characters though you really didn't want the 'whoever bad guys to end up killing the two maybe possibly." People saying it's the funniest movie are a little ahead of themselves imo. it's funny and you'll laugh probably but it's really not that good. It's mediocre at best and there are some comedy stars in it not being funny but still not bad cameos. I'd recommend to check out but don't expect anything spectacular.

This was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I want to see it again because it was very funny and I couldn't hear all of Melissa's jokes over my and the audience's laughing. I tried to stop laughing just so I could hear all the jokes but I couldn't hear over everyone else. That was the worst part of the movie, missing jokes because laughter was too loud.
There were some bloody parts that were hilarious. This was a great performance by the two leading ladies.

Okay, for starters, to everybody freaking out about the language, it is indeed an R rated movie so if you don't like cursing, don't go to an R rated movie. I personally felt the strong language helped McCarthy's character. It helped deliver a point. It also helped with humor. I never laugh out loud at movies but this one had me howling.

This movie kept me entertained throughout. It was long enough to actually tell a full story, but short enough that I never got bored. There is considerable language in it, though. Fantastic!

Very funny movie! The first time that I laughed because of a movie in along time.
The plot was thin and not realy plauseable, but, everything worked well. The casting and
dialog was excellent. Melissa McCarthy & Sanda Bullock worked so well together. They
were as good as Arnold & Danny DeVito in "Twins". I would love to see them together
again, but, not in a sequell.
Living most of my life in the Greater Boston area, everyone nailed the accent, especially
Southie.(Also most of the F-words!)
