Lots of laughs. Everyone in the theater was breaking up. Lots of language, but you quickly get used to it. Great on the big screen. Sequel?

This movie was worth every penny I paid. Finally, a woman-centric movie where the plot didn't revolve around a lonely woman needing a man. Being lonely and single was discussed in the movie and treated rather well, IMHO. The laughs were constant and Melissa and Sandra had amazing chemistry! Loved it and will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out.

I am a big fan of Sandra Bullock and Melissa was unknown to me before this movie. This was a great pairing and the two complimented each other quite well. This movie was a typical hollywood spoof on good cop - bad cop but some scenes were overplayed, unfunny and truly unnecessary, while others were truly comedic and quite hilarious. . Spielberg was right -"Hollywood is imploding." Yes,this was R rated and I expected foul language, and this movie delivered, every other word was "f---". But , to me and this is personal, when Jesus Christ becomes the butt end of jokes, you cross the line. If you are going to disparage do so across the board, don't single out Jesus Christ. Offend every one, muslims, hindus buddists, mormans and atheists. The good points of the movie were overshadowed by the innuendos and blatant disrespect of the Lord Jesus Christ .
This may be humorous to some, but it is highly offensive to me and one reason i will not waste my money on movies again,

It had its funny moments but, the "f" word was way over the top!...I was starting to get bored and then it picked up in the end! Not my favorite Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy film

So, yes the heat was a funny movie--there were a lot of laughs, albeit in a shallow kind of way because the humor in the movie was just bizarre and the 'angry mean obese woman picking on the skinny pretty girl' is a little old. It was mostly mccarthy telling bullock how a straight follow the rules prude she is, and how mccarthy was just so amazing or something um yeah sure? There was very little connection or care for the characters as everything was done in a shallow manner as movies are done these days, and there was little audience connection to the characters though you really didn't want the 'whoever bad guys to end up killing the two maybe possibly." People saying it's the funniest movie are a little ahead of themselves imo. it's funny and you'll laugh probably but it's really not that good. It's mediocre at best and there are some comedy stars in it not being funny but still not bad cameos. I'd recommend to check out but don't expect anything spectacular.
