Sadly Difficult To Watch.

To watch this is to feel pain for these ENORMOUSLY talented actors on the screen. Any problem here is definitely NOT their fault. In fact, they actually brought value to an otherwise amateurish writing effort. This screenplay is just BAD. There is nearly zero empathy or realism to be found in these characters, and at times, you'll feel so disconnected from the action as to find your mind wandering. Not at all an experience worth paying today's high ticket prices for. Big fans of these celebs will want a look see, regardless the quality of the actual movie, but even they should go in imagining that's what they're paying for and then they won't be as disappointed. You might want to wait for the stream, cable or rental with this one. You'll be glad you did.

I didnt have high expectations going in- but came out impressed! Great casting, Barbara and Seth are believable as mother-son, and great plot twists along the way. I took my parents and we all loved it.

A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT TO GET TO THE THEATER TO SEE THIS DOG OF A MOVIE. WHAT WERE STRIESAND & ROGEN THINKING WHEN THEY READ THIS SCRIPT ??? ( THAT THEY COULD POSSIBLY SAVE IT FROM BEING THROWN IN THE GARBAGE). MANY IN THE THEATER WERE SLEEPING, STORY GOES NO WHERE FAST.. STRAIGHT TO DVD..

Overbearing and underwhelming

If you didn't grow up with a nagging, overbearing mother and would like to know what it feels like, see this movie. Otherwise, consider yourself warned that this movie is about a mother who means well, but is unbearable to be around. Well, at least her son knows that and feels sorry enough to take her on an 8-day road trip. There’s really no scene in this movie worth seeing. Even Seth Rogan, usually LOL funny, is pathetic to watch. Skip it entirely.

From the previews, this looked like it was going to be a smash comedy. My wife and I waited for 6 weeks from the time we saw the previews. About 3/4 of the way through it, she was sleeping, as I saw other movie patrons getting up to walk out. This movie was a huge disappointment.
