This was an unexpectedly sweet movie and the previews and trailers don't adequately capture this. Streisand and Rogen have great chemistry and play off each other very well. I saw this in a preview viewing on Dec. 2nd and there were non-stop laughs all the way through by a packed theater. But it is the tenderness of the story and relevance in my own life that is especially moving. I cried nearly as much as I laughed. If you are a mother and have a grown son and can talk him into going, then do it. If not, take a friend. Regardless, don't miss it!

It was one of the worst "comedy's" I have ever seen. No-one in the theater was laughing. MY friend and I left after a gruelling 45 minutes!!!!!! Perhaps the laughs came towards the end of the movie. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!!!! Total waste of my time.

This movie was super sweet and I personally found it hilarious because it really reminded me of my own mom! Long story short, great movie to watch with the family for just with the parent(s)!

I was disappointed in this film, it is slow from start to finish. The acting is fine; but nothing great. The storyline is OK yet mundane. There's not much more to say or review. There is no excitement or suspence to remark on. It's simply a slow non eventful film. Sorry I couldn't add to the hype on this film. I would pass on it at the theater and the DVD when released.

The best laughs were in the TV advertisements. Barbra Steisand is excellent as the neurotic Mother. Seth Rogen is good at being the continuously anxious, socially uncomfortable and unaware son who is trying to pitch a product with no idea how to accomplish his goal. Interesting trip across country with some expected outcomes. Not what I would recommend for a good set of laughs, more moments of anxiousness watching people stumble round each other. Would wait till on pay per view of NetFlix
