All-round good movie

Showing a relationship between mother and son, sweet, touching, funny, sincere. She always wants the best for him, and him for her, but living with some pre-contrived notions about him as well as herself. They both learn and grow from there week journey across the country; just a nice movie as compared with some of the nonsense out there.

Not for everybody

If you want a feel good movie that doesn't come together until the last four minutes, then this is fir you. Sen.t,h is a little underplayed, but Streisand does not go over the top showing restraint. A great diversion if you like Babs who can show more acting ability with a look, or an eyebrow arch, than most modern "actors"

The Guilt Trip is guilty of trying to be a comedy

The best laughs were in the TV advertisements. Barbra Steisand is excellent as the neurotic Mother. Seth Rogen is good at being the continuously anxious, socially uncomfortable and unaware son who is trying to pitch a product with no idea how to accomplish his goal. Interesting trip across country with some expected outcomes. Not what I would recommend for a good set of laughs, more moments of anxiousness watching people stumble round each other. Would wait till on pay per view of NetFlix

Guilt Trip

Myself and thirteen others of my " Red Hat" chapter went last night. We loved it!! Laughed our 'butts' off, it was perfection. Even better than any of us thought it would be. What a perfect duo these two were, super believable as mother and son, even if your not Jewish! I am, as well as everyone else with me last night, are telling every one else to see this movie, it was excellent. I personally would expect nothing less from Barbra Streisand - she is perfection and so real. An exceptional movie for anyone over 16. Wish I had a chance to do a road trip with my mom while she was still on this would have been a hoot. Red Hatter in Florida
