    Guilt Trip

Not only does Barbara Streisand somehow manage to look like she's still 50 in this film, but she's actually funny, annoying and touching at pretty much the same time. The casting for this film (which both stars also produced) generates just the right chemistry for entertainment and the result is an enjoyable film that touches the heart of a mother and son relationship from the valleys to the peaks. I liked it a lot and can confidently suggest that you see for yourself during the holidays. You won't regret it, especially f the popcorn was as good as mine was.

    A sweet movie

    by BBelle

I knew it wasn't going to be a serious drama (certainly not with Seth Rogen sharing top billing), but it was enjoyable.

Babs was funny and neurotic and a nudge, but lovable nonetheless.

Go in with expectations of having fun and laughing and you'll be rewarded.

    It's not for everybody...

I rated this movie a "MUST GO" because I loved it and enjoyed myself very much but I can see how not everyone would feel this way. The whole movie is just Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand going back and forth. There isn't a lot of interaction with other characters and there aren't any 'just-for-laughs" scenes. It's what it claims to be: a mom and a son on a trip. It's very raw and enjoyable because they're both such good actors. The movie really touches your heart and makes you want to go hug your mom. If you're looking for an over the top, fun ride (which is what I was expecting) don't go but if you want to feel some warm feelings and have a good laugh (or develop a crush on Seth Rogen) then this movie is just for you!

    An odd crowd...

Guilt Trip was an overall slow tempo-ed movie with a mash up between two generations of movie goers, the 20-30 year olds who are drawn in by Seth Rogen and the 40-60 year old Barbara Streisand fans. We expected a movie full of laugh out loud moments, but found ourselves halfheartedly giggling several times. The movie does have a good story line but is a bit slow paced. Not your typical Set Rogen movie, better suited for the Streisand fans.

    Very funny and touching

I think that most people can relate to this movie in some way. A mother and son on a trip can be funny, but this is more than a comedy. Without his mothers knowledge Andy plans on taking his mother to see an old boyfriend. The scene when they find his house is priceless. I really enjoyed the whole movie and I think most adults will too. Not for small kids though.

    Waste of time

I went in thinking this movie would be funny and well written. I was wrong. I was sitting in the theater hoping the movie would just end already.

No, no and no... a horrible boring movie

    by SXD

How to describe this movie...? Slow, not funny, extremely predictable and really boring. I wouldn't go to the theater to see it or even wait for the DVD. The only good thing about this movie is the message but the bad storyline don?t help at all. Don?t lose your time, this movie is horrible...

Save your money and your time

From the previews, this looked like it was going to be a smash comedy. My wife and I waited for 6 weeks from the time we saw the previews. About 3/4 of the way through it, she was
sleeping, as I saw other movie patrons getting up to walk out. This movie was a huge disappointment.

    Heartwarming fun movie

I was skeptical about this movie because of some of the reviews that I read, but my son (15) and I really liked it. It was funny, heart warming and just a fun movie. It's not going to win any academy awards or anything, but if you are looking for something heartwarming and fun, go see this. I love Barbara Streisand and I thought she played a very good, over protective, doting mother!!

    Guilt Trip

Myself and thirteen others of my " Red Hat" chapter went last night.
We loved it!! Laughed our 'butts' off, it was perfection. Even better
than any of us thought it would be. What a perfect duo these two
were, super believable as mother and son, even if your not Jewish!
I am, as well as everyone else with me last night, are telling every
one else to see this movie, it was excellent. I personally would expect
nothing less from Barbra Streisand - she is perfection and so real.
An exceptional movie for anyone over 16.
Wish I had a chance to do a road trip with my mom while she was
still on this earth...it would have been a hoot.

    Sadly Difficult To Watch.

To watch this is to feel pain for these ENORMOUSLY talented actors on the screen. Any problem here is definitely NOT their fault. In fact, they actually brought value to an otherwise amateurish writing effort. This screenplay is just BAD. There is nearly zero empathy or realism to be found in these characters, and at times, you'll feel so disconnected from the action as to find your mind wandering. Not at all an experience worth paying today's high ticket prices for. Big fans of these celebs will want a look see, regardless the quality of the actual movie, but even they should go in imagining that's what they're paying for and then they won't be as disappointed. You might want to wait for the stream, cable or rental with this one. You'll be glad you did.

A wacky dramedy about family that's worth a trip to the movies

It's hard to believe Seth Rogen can be consistent for all these years considering how much weed he smokes. I hit up the vaporizer once a week or so and I find it hard to do anything other than to drag myself to work monday through saturday. Anyone with an overbearing parent, or at least one that acts that way to make it look good, will appreciate this movie as it explores the typical dysfunctional family. When mom and son hit the road for this trip, each stop along the way is not only funny but provides a deeper look into the relationship and how both are dependent on the other. Barbera Streisand somehow looks like she hasn't aged in some time and Seth Rogen pulls off the perfect awkward only child. When they get to their final destination you get an unexpected surprise which make the ending perfect in my opinion. And get yourself some scio-clean.

    comedy

    by _janine

This movie was so great and funny! I took my 12-year-old daughter and she loved it too. I recommend this movie for children 11 and up only. It is better for adults because some kids don't understand some of the comedy.

    Guilt Trip

It was one of the worst "comedy's" I have ever seen. No-one in the theater was laughing. MY friend and I left after a gruelling 45 minutes!!!!!! Perhaps the laughs came towards the end of the movie. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!!!! Total waste of my time.
