Not sure if this is a comment on life itself or simply Rome. Quite an array of vignettes of a decadent and lonely life. Sad in many ways. Seemed to me they threw every Italian cliche in to make a dramatic point. To long for sure but certainly thought provoking.

The most gorgeous, disturbing film since Melancholia.

Some may say it moves slowly, but it is well worth the journey. The cinematography and music alone makes it worth watching. It's an extraordinarily well written, thought-provoking character driven piece of cinema.

Magnificently photographed, well acted and a fascinating story depicting the emptiness of ennui, this movie shows the influence of Fellini but takes movie making to a new level.

There are many layers to this film, with homage to "la a Dolce Vita" and "Cinema Paradiso." Lush photography of Rome makes this a memorable experience.
