A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE PILGRIMAGE OF AN ISRAELI MAN, STRUGGLING TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIS JEWISH GRANDPARENTS, AND A HIGH-RANKING NAZI OFFICIAL.

A tiresome, true tale of an Israeli man, after the death of his 98–year-old grandmother, discovering correspondence, photographs and empirical evidence of a lifelong relationship between his Jewish grandparents and a German family, ranking high in Nazi echelons; their friendship commenced before the second world war and lasted well into the sixties with repeated trips to post-war Germany and other spots throughout Europe. We watch the "flat" being divested of archival material: papers, clothes, jewelry, long unread, unworn and the unearthing of a mysterious, unexplained personal fusion, that despite monumental obstacles, never died... Relentless Search for the Truth about a Nazi

The relatives of a holocaust survivor go through her apartment after she dies and find evidence that she and her husband were good friends with a German couple who were active Nazis before, during, and after the war. This is a terrific documentary that highlights the many thoughts and investigative work that relatives do when a loved one dies. There were also some excellent bits of insights about how the current German society views Nazis and how they're basically in denial. This movie is methodical and fairly tedious to watch at times because some time is spent looking at old photos and reading through diaries. However, the payoff is continuous with discoveries about the dangers Jews were in, and still face to this day

Long and boring

The trailer made it seem like a great mystery discovered. Instead it slowly told the story of friends on different sides of a war.
