The Flame and the Arrow is one of the old school of cinema with one of the all time leading men Burt Lancaster. In this film he demonstrated just how physically fit and athletically tallented he was by demonstrating his acrobatic prowess. The film is like a version of other Hollywood action/adventure films "The Adventures of Robin Hood" or "Ivanhoe" with a fun sense of adventure and stuntwork mostly unrivaled in todays filmmaking. For any fan of old Hollywood or of classic storytelling I think this film is right up your alley.
