Enjoyed the film. Took my 18 year old son and 12 year old daughter. Daughter liked it, son - not so much. A lot of shooting, tons of swearing. Acting is good. Go see it!

while the father may have at one time been the big man, it is quickly obvious who is in control of this family.
a funny story told from a different twist. well worth the visit to the theater, although i'm not sure where in france it is happening... but i know the town will be glad.....

The endless use of the word F--- wasn'ty really necessary
The acting by
Robert De Niro - Fred Manzoni Very good
Michelle Pfeiffer - Maggie Manzoni Fantastic performance
Tommy Lee Jones - Agent Stansfield More than men in Black he was cool
Dianna Agron - Belle Manzoni She has to be the next super star and very pretty excellent
John D'Leo - Warren Manzo I think he will be the next Brad Pitt excellent
So for a few hours of laughs and enjoyment, see this movie

In my opinion, this movie was a total waste of my time. I guess it just depends on what you expect out of a movie. Good actors/actress's so I thought I's give it a try. If you are into plots where everyone gets blown away you might like it but not for me!

There is a good blend of elements in The Family. I felt like the comedy wasn't overdone, the action played well into it and the romance wasn't all-consuming. There was just enough of everything. Robert de Niro and Tommy Lee Jones played well off of each other, with instances of banter and frustration that build a tense relationship. The Family presents a different take on a traditional mob movie, through the lens of a traitor who is feeling the effects of his actions. The other family members work okay together, and aren't as believable. The son and daughter play their roles well and add some comic asides that build on the father. Overall the movie is decent, and I enjoyed it.
