A Little Too Much Like The Parody;Scary Movie 2 Didn't Have Much Work To Make This a Parody

So I recently watched this movie because my boyfriend has been trying to get me to watch it forever. I am a horror movie fan and I do like to watch the classics. This movie was way too much like the parody, Scary Movie 2. They gave it way too much of a semi-comedic effect. I know it is an older movie, but this ran along the lines of the Scream movies and the Chuckie Movies...they made me laugh too much. The scariest movie of all time? I dont think so...3 stars.

One of the scariest of all time

    by JuniorJ

I saw this on DVD and never experienced it at the theaters.

When Friedken directed THE EXORCIST (from a gripping script by William peter Blatty), visual effects were not that easy to do. Nor were they readily available.

So it makes me appreciate the filmmaking even more... all of the visuals, including the green pea soup (at least that is what I have read about what the green vomit was made of).

Friedken and his talented group of actors (Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Jason Miller and, of course, Linda Blair) created a horrifyingly suspenseful movie, about the devil who takes possession of a young girl's body.
