A wonderful and innovative performance with excellent singers and spectacular scenery. Met opera in HD at it's best.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Enchanted Island. It is quite a spectacular production and a great showcase for the baroque style. I haven't experienced much of countertenors but I think David Daniels was excellent, as were all the female performers. The only downside is the fitting words to the baroque music results in a lot of vocal repetition. This can get a bit tedious but the performers really carried it off very well.

What a wonderful event. It had amazing performances - particularly Placido Domingo, Danielle De Niese, and Joyce DiDonato. It was clever, funny (Ariel in a deep sea diver's outfit), had gorgeous costumes and left me with a taste for Baroque Opera. I left the theater asking if poor Caliban ever found a queen?? The only drawback to the production was its length.

This production was delightful; it included humor, sadness, romance, clever dialogue, appropriate costumes, human foibles , majestic music and so much talent. The voices were splendid; every character was portrayed beautifully. The technical magic was just that !!

A first rate opera, humor, drama and singing and dancing. The Met is always first rate. Loved it.
