    A very poor remake

    Many of the situations are unbelievably stupid. In the beginning, they are flying helicopters to what they think will be the impact site of a very large meteor. The shock wave of such an impact would have destroyed any aircraft flying within 10 miles of the impact site. Then minutes after they discover that it is not a meteor, the military shows up in force in full battle gear. The characters are mostly one-dimensional stereotypes who act stupidly. Don?t waste your time on this film.

    don't waste your time with this one. aside from jennifer connley looking smoking hot as usual this movie was boring and didn't keep me interested at all. i only finished it because i wanted it to have it's fair chance. my mistake.. i give it 2 out of 5 bags of popcorn

    This movie wasnt as Great as I Thought. Im Not saying it was Bad, Im Saying that The Creator Is Trying To Build Up the Suspence Like When the world was Going to "end" I Dident think that was a good Story, Aliens, World Ending... Those Stuff Arent For ME. I Rate it 2.5 Out Of 5 Or 6.7 Out Of 10

    Klaatu... Barada... Nikto.

    A good remake of a classic.
    Special Effects 10/10: The visual effects and animation in this film has to be some of the best work I've seen. GORT has never looked so good. I was, however, a little disappointed with the way they made GORT. (Spoiler) The way he breaks down into small nanobots that devour anything it comes in contact with is a little unbelievable(end spoiler).
    Casting 8/10: Great casting, but I thought Jennifer Connelly's character was a little overdone. Don't get me wrong, she's a great actress, this just wasn't the right role for her.
    Story 8/10: A little more complicated then the original, same basic idea, but carried out in a modern setting.
    Ovferall 8.5/10: A little over the top, but still enjoyable. Go see it.

    the day the boys dad died

    This movie was absoulutlly horrible the begining was good but most of the movie was about the boys dad dieing it was stupid. I cant belive it was that bad i thought it would be good. Instead it was dumb. I would rather watch fire than that thing. It had no plot you could guess what would happen in the movie. It had no good story to it and was stupid saw it in the theaters and thought it was a totall waste of money to watch there was no excitment i almost fell asleep in the movie it started out good and just got dumber and dumber. My recimendation don't see it it was horrible you will waste your money.
