Only okay because of its flaws.

    by KentonF

There are several things wrong with this film. Some pacing problems, technical problems, as well as several plot problems which I found hard to take.

    Spoilers here after:

The prison contains a problem with plot. We're expected to accept that the only way Bruce can get out of it is to make a rather difficult jump, yet there are cracks all over the place in the rough walls. Does the techniques used in free climbing not exist there?

Bane is the main villain throughout the movie, but once Miranda is exposed he becomes a throw away character and his death is too simple.

There are other things as well, but you get the point. It was just okay. The previous Batman movie was much better.

Movie great!!! IMAX theatre was horrible

    by lemlar

Went to watch Dark Knight Rises at the IMAX theatre in Fresno California. Loved the movie but got interrupted by fat people getting up and going to bathroom. IMAX was too small so kept getting my toes stepped on. Fat people who eat and drink soda a lot should sit on the sides!!! 1 ghetto pregnant women was also annoying and kept nagging about how she was uncomfortable. REALLY? Next time going to regular theatre. Plus this old fart was holding 8 seats in the middle row. He's lucky I didn't punch his face.

Is this the SAME Chris Nolan??!!!

    by ejneri

Let me start by saying that I really liked Batman Begins and loved the Dark Knight. Unfortunately, this movie was NOTHING like them. Batman isn't even in three quarters of the movie. Alfred is barely in it. It mostly follows Gordon and Blake - it's really more their movie. It's about a couple of cops trying to survive in a Gotham under occupation. The quarter (if that) Batman's in he's just a punching bag. The fight scenes, especially the showdown with Bane, are just brutal and not something that's entertaining at all. The movie jumps all over the place and lacks the coherence and nuance of TDK. It's a mess. The end is also unsatisfying. As I was walking out of the theatre, the guy next to me commented that it was the worst Batman movie he ever saw. This is certainly the worst of the trilogy in my opinion. I would have felt a lot better if he stopped at TDK.

    Not an IMAX theater

Movie is great, it will not let you down. However stick with the normal view at AMC Hoffman 22. The theater is not set to show IMAX movies.

Again the movie is a MUST-SEE!

    Ann Hathaway saves the day

    by

Although there were "WOW" moments, this offering trudged on methodically. I spent most of the movie wondering whether or not Bain (played by Tom Hardy) was effective as a BM villain, or his choice of voices qualified him for a supporting role in a side/show alongside Gilbert Godfried and Emo Phillips. Ann Hathaway was sexy, dangerous, and you wonder what she might see in tediously growling B Wayne
