Thought it was a great story line and had excellent effects. Can't wait to see what's next. Praises go out to the fallen Batman fans of Colorado and the families of the tragedy.

Move over Mr. Spielberg et al.......

Chris Nolan's vision, direction and execution puts him in a league without peers. The Batman trilogy is 100% cinematic heroin. Mr. Nolan has now officially relegated his competition to mere purveyors of cheap imitations in the form of cinematic methadone.

IMAX aspect of film

In case you didn't already know this about the film, Christopher Nolan filmed about an hour of the film in native IMAX format. You can tell which scenes were filmed in IMAX as the picture switches from letterbox to full screen, mostly with the aerial views of the city and landscapes in the latter. There are also some ground scenes that are filmed in IMAX though. These scenes really add to the movie, creating a realistic atmosphere that you feel somewhat a part of, with the help of the awesome sound. If you're familiar with Christopher Nolan's work, you know he hardly disappoints, if ever. So for him to utilize IMAX in his vision of a movie, you know it's no gimmick, and it shows. Needless to say, I felt this was worth the extra cash to see. It's one of those movies you'd look back on and say that you're glad you got to experience it in IMAX, the way Christopher Nolan wanted (no I'm not a spokesperson for the movie or IMAX, lol). But be sure you go to a real IMAX, not a LIEMAX.

This does work as an ending to the trilogy, gathering all the loose ends from the first two movies and wrapping them up in a visually stunning climax. However, the first half of the movie is slow and the plot somewhat murky without any humor to remind us we are watching a film about a comic book hero. Bale, Hathaway, and Hardy performances seem strickly to the script and although sound, lack energy. Certainly none matched the level of Ledger's Joker. Some of the better acting moments come courtesy of Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marioon Cotillard. Nolan does impress using the IMAX format to create scenes of chaos that are larger than life. I haven't seen a 3D film that is as visually engrossing as this film. Definitely worth seeing, particularly in an IMAX theater. One last note - after the end credits roll if you feel like you got a two-for-one and saw a replay of Rocky III in additon to Batman, you aren't alone.

Don't be stupid, go see this movie while it's in the theater. Spend the extra dough and drive the extra mile if you have to see it on IMAX. Stop reading this..GO.
