    Wonderfully made

The final chapter to the Dark Knight series does not disappoint. Although some people think that this is not as great as the second part, this movie is still entertaining, and fun to watch.

    Rise of The Dark Knight

As a presumed finale to interesting dark trilogy of the evolution of an iconic American Hero/Anti-Hero... found story script well done! Plot twists not nearly predictable or filled with worthless sentiment and or stoic symbols of truth justice and the like... IMAX experience superior way to view this modern day epic... Thoroughly enjoyed it... as though I were 8 years of age again-craining my neck to see every camera angle or focal sweep while the sound send reverberations into my neck hairs... and they previewed next James Bond as well as a return of Raiders... I'm already there to catch both... thanks and enjoy the ride!!!

An awesome finish to the Trilogy!

The movie keeps you guessing about who Bane is, till the very end. The way the movie finishes, EPIC!! Must see it!!

    Predictable

    by b_k

The action was the best part but the story took the movie over the edge.

The gadgets were so-so: the "bat" was very cool, the bat-bike fairly cool but a repeat - and that was it, no more gadgets. Almost like they were low on budget. You need more gadgets in a Bat-movie just to keep up with the Bonds.

The physical combat was pretty good, very realistic fights. But the physical break-down and rebuilding of Bruce's body took away from reality. I know a batman movie isn't about reality, but I like to at least forget I'm in a movie theater.

They tried to step up the story by moving the backdrop from Chicago to NYC, but that just brought back memories of 9/11 that weren't appreciated. Also it was no fun watching the evil Bane in that ugly mask for so much of the movie. Meanwhile Cat Woman looked totally awesome, and I supposed Wayne wasn't bad if you like that kind of guy. :)

Overall I would only see this movie if you're a big fan of the Dark Knight series, Hathaway or Bale.

    Dark Knight Rises

Was a very good and exciting movie. I love the way they always make the endings so that there can be another sequel. The IMAX experience is pretty awesome.

    Batman movie sucks again

    by bckitt

What an absolutely stupid waste of time!

Bane is easily killed with a single round from a batgun... Yet the blithering idiot bat-dope spends two hours trying to figure out some way to beat the overweight slob to death in a fisticuffs dust up.

I guess there's no room inside the bat cowl for a brain.

I actually smiled when it looked like bat-imbecile nuked himself... So there would never ever be another bat-dolt movie for my wife to drag me to.

But... Since they left plenty of opportunity at the end to make even more bat-wastes of time, my wife will just have to go to the theater alone.

As for me... I'll NEVER go to any more bat-cretin or dark-empty-cranium movies again!!!

    Better than I expected.

    by

I am a long time fan of the franchise, and have gone to see each movie in the theaters since the Michael Keaton/Tim Burton days. I am a big fan of Christopher Nolan, and find him to be one of the more thoughtful directors working today. Having said that...I have to say this is the best of the Batman movies I have seen. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, and only had a few "oh come on" moments despite it being a comic book based movie. There were just enough turns and twists to keep it interesting, and yet it never languishes for long in it's pace or story development. The end has several surprises, and with that...I will simply say-GO SEE THIS, and DO see it in IMAX format. It is a tad too loud for some, but man oh man is it worth every penny

Nolan really screwed up this one...

    by

I would say you see Batman, the actual superhero, in no more than 8% of the movie. In every scene, even talking scenes, the theaters are bombarded with loud, heart pounding music making the most non intense scenes seem more important than WW2.

On top of that, the acting from Bale and Cotilliard make it seem like you're watching a Batman porno, not a "$300 million in one week, IMAX movie".

Somehow Tom Hardy was applauded for his Bane roll, which I must say was awful. Hardy was required to raise his eyebrows now and then but not even Bane's voice was Hardy's.

From the looks of it, the movie is unfinished and the computer effects are beyond terrible. The effects made those in Superman I, II, and III from the 70's seem futuristic from this point in time.

    Overall,
15 of 100, maybe not even that.
