    The Dark Knight Rises

This is a pretty sequel to the Dark Knight. It starts out a bit slow trying to catch the viewer up to event and characters. I am not a fan of movies that spiral out of control to the point where the heroes must overcome ridiculously high and impossible odds. This was entertaining, but not a super great movies.

Tom Hardy was unrecognizable at Dane. He was awesome!

    Entertaining from start to finish!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Anne Hathaway is a welcome addition to the cast and is terrific in the movie. Her character is complex and a great addition to the story line. Christian Bale is great and the new villain Bane (Tom Hardy) is as bad as they get. If your looking for an action packed movie that will entertain you from start to finish see The Dark Knight Rises. If your looking for the full experience definitely see it in IMAX. I highly recommend this movie!

Incredible, albeit slow at the end.

Loved it! Don't waste your money on IMAX though. Large (reg) is enough. Don't wait for DVD because it won't have same affect.

    Interestingly Poor

Great first quarter Excellent film score and sound effects.

Way too much exposition and tries at sincerity; mainly bequeathed to actor who plays the butler. Felt sorry for him having to do it so many times.

Cheap removal of main antagonist. Really?!

Left wondering what everyone liked about it to the tune of a billion dollars?!

Final conclusion. The human population must be extremely attracted to gadges - motorcycles and flying machines with guns. When you leave, its about all you can remember..

The film score will win an Oscar

Oh, and reall An atomic bomb exploded offshore won't bother anyone right?! Yeah, batman!.

The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience

Great fun! Great cinematography. It kept us glued to the screen for the whole duration. The plot has an interesting twist revealed towards the end, that is not predictable. However, there are some subtle cues throughout the movie.

The IMAX screen at the AMC Metreon in San Francisco has a hole on the right hand side towards the bottom. It's bad they charge so much for a faulty screen. It might be best to watch on a perfect regular movie screen.

The voices of Batman, Bane, and other characters were muffled, inaudible. We simply couldn't understand what they were saying at times. This problem seems to be in the movie itself, not IMAX.

If you don't get to see it in IMAX you are missing something good. I liked it over the dark knight, because I could actually UNDERSTAND this one.

    Better the second time around!

    by Kilgi

I saw this the Friday before Labor day weekend and had the entire IMAX theater to myself. It was like sitting in my living room with a 500 foot screen. I really enjoyed the movie even more than the first time I saw it and highly recommend it!

Definitely not as good as people are saying. The fight scenes were sub-par, the catch praises were lame and the movie was very predictable. I expected more action and more excitement.

    Different but better ?

    by TeddieM

I will admit I was one of the people who immediately after seeing DKR was a bit disappointed, my expectations weren't met. Then, I thought about the movie for a day or 2, saw it again and kept on thinking about it. Every day the movie continued to grow on me and I wanted more - Was is that that my expectations weren't met or just different ? This isn't your DK style of movie with your over the top acting (Joker) and constant explosions and action, this movie moves slow until the end and relies on your buying into Nolan's vision for Batman and love of his characters - And once I took the movie for what it was my appreciation for it was off the charts.

The best movie of the year and the most welcome yet saddening part upon seeing the ending of this movie is that 1- yes comic movies can be more then your typical Avengers style movie 2- with the end of Nolan's trilogy we may see the sad end to comic movies that "rise" above our expectations.

    Open mind required.

    get there early!

    by Kevgeez

Great movie. Much better in IMAX..... But make sure you get there early!!

It says it starts at 7pm so my friend wanted to eat first. We got in at 715 expecting to miss only previews.
    WRONG
The movie must have started at 7pm.
And there were basically no seats left.
People were standing on the sides watching it.
