The film was outstanding. Nolan doesn't it again and in grand style. If it has Nolan's name on it I'm there. The man is a genius and totally saved the Batman franchise. The Dark Knight Rises will not disappoint! You should have seen it yesterday!

Comparing villains or comparing scripts, between this movie and The Dark Knight, would be unfair. The Dark Knight was a genre-changing film. Despite a few minor flaws, this movie was still a highly-entertaining and exhilarating sequel. I'm already looking forward to seeing the movie again in theaters (ironically, the last movie I saw that I felt the same way about was The Dark Knight). Great flick!

This movie felt more like the middle part of a trilogy than the conclusion. Usually the middle part is the weakest, having to carry the story along until the third part wraps everything up with a bang. (Think The Two Towers in The Lord of the Rings series.) That's what this felt like to me, a by-the-numbers movie that had a checklist of points to hit without a satisfying, overarching story to link it all together.
Given the obvious set up for another movie, this is hardly the last film in the series so hopefully the next one can give us the big finish this one promised to provide.

The story is heavy and hopeful all at the same time. It runs a little long, but follows the graphic novel theme all the way till very last frame.

Christopher Nolan filmed a majority of the film in IMAX, so it's definitely worth seeing in an IMAX theater. I won't post anything about the plot, except that you need to see it ASAP to avoid anybody else spoiling it for you, including new, longer trailers. I loved all 165 minutes of it. GO GO GO, NOW!
