With the exception of Heath Ledger's performance in the "Dark Knight" this film has a unique plot and a couple of twists that add to its dramatic conclusion. I've seen it twice and it improved the second time. An instant classic!

It was totally predictable!!! I liked Ann Hathaway as cat woman, she pulled it off better than I thought she would.

TDKR is an ambitious film, and it seems to accomplish everything it sets out to do. I feel that the director's vision of the franchise has changed somewhat drastically from the first film. Dialogue drags. Character development is non-existent. Lengthy action sequences set to a loud, dramatic score take precedence over anything we can really grasp and relate to. The film is a MAJOR disappointment. Christopher Nolan seems to have abandoned the writing pen to focus on grander, large-scale action sequences, when the fact is that the balance of excellent writing and riveting action are what made the first film in the trilogy great in the first place.

Great casting with new additions Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy who totally immersed himself in the role of Bane. Chris Nolan brings his trilogy to an epic and dark conclusion leaving you wanting more. All of the cast was in top form. Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine all raise the bar on what to expect from a superhero film along with Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt also new to the trilogy (Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt all featured in Chris Nolan's Inception as well). Don't miss seeing this on the big screen in IMAX. I plan on going multiple times.

Let me start by saying that I really liked Batman Begins and loved the Dark Knight. Unfortunately, this movie was NOTHING like them. Batman isn't even in three quarters of the movie. Alfred is barely in it. It mostly follows Gordon and Blake - it's really more their movie. It's about a couple of cops trying to survive in a Gotham under occupation. The quarter (if that) Batman's in he's just a punching bag. The fight scenes, especially the showdown with Bane, are just brutal and not something that's entertaining at all. The movie jumps all over the place and lacks the coherence and nuance of TDK. It's a mess. The end is also unsatisfying. As I was walking out of the theatre, the guy next to me commented that it was the worst Batman movie he ever saw. This is certainly the worst of the trilogy in my opinion. I would have felt a lot better if he stopped at TDK.
