It was a cute movie as such kind of an action romance animation of sorts but it missed an overall connection. There were plenty of moments to laugh and even a tender moment but it still missed the grade in my view. Worth watching once but not worth buying.

I'm not sure as to why this movie does not have a unanimous GREAT review.
My 6 year old son and I were glued to the screen - which says a lot because he tends to get fidgety and talkative when he is not interested in a movie. This one he seemed to love.
I laughed, I cried, and I even related to the main character Eep.
Overall, this was a wonderful movie and I'd recommend it on any day.

Really cute movie. My 14 year old really liked the movie and said it had deep meaning. Very surprising he said that!!! Great family movie. I recommend this one over the Holiday.

It's ok, it seemed like it's geared towards younger kids, it had a good message in it, I wouldn't see it again, but my Son liked it a lot!

After seeing The Croods, this much can be said: Ice Age did it better. Is The Croods the worst film to come from Dreamworks? No. Is it the best? Not even close. Granted, the film has stunning animation, showing that Dreamworks continues to improve in this craft, but that's about it. The film's story is cliched and the characters are pretty forgettable despite that the actors do an alright job. Worst of all, the comedy was lackluster. The jokes made little sense and it could have been better if the delivery was executed differently. So yes this is a flawed film, but it is pretty harmless. If you are heading the theaters with your family, The Croods can certainly make for a fun time; but if you fan of Dreamworks Animation, then you might want to skip this one.
