This movie was much better than I had anticipated. An original story with interesting characters really drives this movie. Colorful prehistoric animals add to the eye candy. My daughter (age 10) wanted to stay in the theater for another viewing. There is no higher compliment I can give.

Like all DreamWorks movies this one is amazing. You fall in love with the characters, laugh a little, stop & think a little and come a away with a heart felt lesson learned. The protrayal of this time period is beautiful with only a tough of scary & unknown. My kids loved the characters and my husband & I loved the slight adult humor as well. Not only is this movie a must see but a definite one you will see over & over again at home. Thanks again for a great family day at the movies!!

Wonderful movie for kids and adults. Plenty of laughter and exciting scenes plus a little teary eye sentimental part. Overall this was one of the better kids movies I have seen. I would give it a 9 out of 10.
Must go see.

My family and I enjoyed this movie. Yes it does not have a deep plot, but this simple story made me cry! More movies should be about family bonds and love. It is cute enough so the little kids can enjoy it. The animation is excellent for the teens and adult to appreciate it. It is original and creative. Don't listen to the critics. If you want to have a good time, go see this movie!

I enjoyed the movie and had a couple laughs. There were also moments I wanted to smack my face against the floor repeatedly because the dialogue/situations were so cliche and awkward. Dreamworks once again comes in behind Disney and Pixar with a good family movie without much that sets it apart from the hundreds out there on dvd. Unless your children really want to go to the movies, rent a dvd of a much better film like Ice Age. If you're going to the movies anyway and need a kid flick to watch, this one the kids will love and you'll enjoy but quietly hope your kid won't want to see it again.
