Loved it! This is one of those movies that the kids love and the parents can sit through happily. We'll be one of the first in line to buy it when it's released.

The animation is fun, but...

The story is AWFUL and somewhat embarrassing. My kids and their friends wanted the dad to die, and as a dad myself, I don't find this at all a good thing. Bleck.

Good family movie

Pleasantly surprised by this movie, believing it was going to be an "Ice Age" ripoff, and those have been going downhill fast. But "The Croods" was full of silly (not stupid) laughs that just leave you smiling. Worth a watch, especially if you have children.

The longer you stay, the better it gets!

The Croods takes an awfully long time to get going but, once it does, it's a colorful, touching and entertaining ride. Not for the youngest kids, but fun for ages 10 and up, and a tug at the heartstrings of those of us whose daughters are growing up far too fast. Enjoy!

A worthy CGI offering at last

Been skeptical of all-animated CGI for basically as long as they've been producing these movies. Saw select films, of which Cars was one. Well that was a long time ago, and I have to say this film really impressed me. Textures and shading were always limitations for the technology. This film shows that that is no longer the case. The skin-tones and shading both on the characters and environment proved life-like in its realism and fineness. This film also has a good moral to it and is good family viewing. I am pleased to recommend the film and will have to take a look at CGI in the future knowing that the genre has developed to this extent.
