Pleasantly Surprised

I was wondering why this particular film would be released this time of year. I liked the first part, The Collector. A decent slasher/horror film. And I was happy to see the hero of the first film returnning but this movie went way over the top in a good way. But I did wonder if it was up to par for releaseing now when we expect the best films to be coming out. Definately a good Holiday film for us horror fans--thank you evil Santa. If, like me, you're a big fan of horror films, you won't be disapointed with this sequel which is better than the first. However, if you haven't seen the first, watch it before you go if you can. This movie was just right in it's story, effects, characters. Very well put together. Graphically points out the danger of going to Raves with a strange doorman (loved him). It's a 5 out of 5 Stars grading it on the Horror/Slasher graph in my head. Fantastic new kind of twisty-twist ending. Go, horror fans. You'll enjoy it.

Just as good as the first!

Had the pleasure of seeing this a tad early at my local theater. I loved the 1st movie "The Collector" which is not very well known. That movie will keep you tense from beginning to end, its a bad A** little movie. This one does not fall to far from grace. I loved it. If you have not seen the first I suggest you go and rent it (The Collector) and watch it and then see this movie next. In my opinion you won't be sorry. The only negative I will say is it to me this movie its obvious that the "studios executives" had their influence in this movie. While the original movie the collector was special, tense, edge of your seat and did not constantly rely on gore and some cheap thrills, this movie at times lends itself that that "SAW" type of formula, in fact there are a couple of things it outright borrows from it. Still I can't fault it as I'm sure the producers wanted to make sure if they did a follow up movie they wanted a success, so I give The Collector 5 stars this movie 3.5, Go!

Great horror movie didnt think it was goin to be good suprise me alot i really enjoy this movie kept me on the edge of my seat, The Guy with the mask is a killing machine with all kind of gadgets go see it take your girl freind, buddy etc. go see it you will enjoy, alot of blood but that goes with the territory, but good movie and story line. FILMJUNKY SEEYA

The COLLECTION

Sequel to The COLLECTOR from a couple years ago. Intense movie -- graphic violence. It was like "SAW" movies on steroids. The ending had the original John Carpenter HALLOWEEN II feel to it. Would certainly recommend the movie to Horror movie fans!

Scary - But no real depth besides just a psycho going nuts.

The movie was awesome as far as scary movies go. People where definitely screaming in the theater. All the acting was good (as far as scary movies go). There weren't any cheap one liners or anything to stupid. The shots and gore were all pretty legit, but it was a lot more about tense atmosphere than just blood and guts like the SAW films. There were a couple scenes that were in the movie just to scare you. The few times this happened it was obvious the director didn't use the scene to build any plot. He just wanted to kill someone and mess with the audience (still totally enjoyable, but could have tied it in more).

I'd see it again with someone else just to watch them squirm.

Definitely only for adults (little kids might be afraid to step outside or talk to strangers after this).

GREAT MOVIE!!!!SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I'VE SEEN IN YEARS!

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD MOVIE. IF YOU ARE SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING THE PARANORMAL MOVIES, THIS IS FOR YOU. ESPECIALLY, IF YOU LIKE THE SAW MOVIES. THIS MOVIE IS BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. IT HAS ACTION, SUSPENSE, GORE AND HORROR. TO BE HONEST, IT DOES NOT HAVE MUCH OF A PLOT BUT IT IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF HORROR MOVIE. ITS A SHAME THAT IT DIDN'T DO THAT WE IN THE BOX OFFICE SINCE ITS A GOOD MOVIE. IF YOU DON'T LIKE GORE, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. I WOULD RECOMMEND SEEING THE 1ST ONE TO FOLLOW UP. PLUS, ITS GOT A GREAT ENDING TO IT. IT WILL LEAVE YOU SURPRISED. IT DOES NOT HAVE BIG STARS IN THIS. I MEAN ITS GOT THE GIRL FROM HARRY POTTER AND JOSH STEWART BUT NOBODY BIG. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS. GO SEE IT.

Loved It...

My wife and I just loved it. Loads of action and some very grizzly scenes. The only problem for us was it was just basically another "Saw" type movie, but then we liked those too. The movie moves at a good pace and is never dull. You could wait to rent or buy DVD..Really don't need to see it in a movie theater...Not for children under 16..

Very graphic and violent. What a sadistic killer this guy was. Some of the scenes were so grotesque to watch. I thought the film was better than some of the Saw pictures.

I turley did not like this movie, in todays time at this time of the year when we should be about love for each other... this was a BAD>>BAD>>BAD movie will not tell-a-friend I walked out of this movie

Blood and Gore! What more can you ask for!!

Despite several rumors that this movie wasn't that good, I didn't listen to them. I just saw it to night and it blew my mind. Some of the props in this movie are wild. All I can say is if you are the type of person who likes any of the Saw movies...... THIS MOVIE IS A MUST-SEE!!

FANTASTIC!

I can't believe how it kept you going 'til the end. I love every moment of it and hopefully with the way the ending went there's another possibility of more. I tell you one thing the makers of the SAW movies are surely out doing themselves with these 2 movies. These 2 may not truly take the place of SAW, but I'm more than satisfied with these and can't wait for the DVD to come out so I could add it to my collection.
