Movie is less than the sum of it's parts

You'd think that Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis making a political comedy would be a recipe for an all-time great comedy. However, the movie turned out to be so-so. Definitely not Galifianakis' best (I'd even put Out Cold above it) and obviously, this is no Old School, but nonetheless, it was still fairly funny. I used discounted tickets, so I'll say it was worth the money.

I was crying especially when they shook hands and Will Ferrell punched the baby! This was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time!

Decently Funny!

This movie kind of makes fun of the politicians of today. Trying to win without making any type of change to help the people. Gives some funny twist of how politicians may try to win a seat.

Pretty funny movie at times but I would probably wait til it comes out on DVD. I live in DC, though, so it was a topical movie for me! Ha.

The Campaign

I took my wife and adult daughter to this movie. There were several parts in the movie where we laughed until we cried. However, this is definitely not for children. There were way too many f bombs and other bathroom humor that could have been eliminated and still have a funny movie. It seems too many movie directors and writers these days think they have to do that just to get an R rating. If you are a fan of Will and Zach's style of humor, you will like this movie. The plot is OK if not predictable, but still many laugh out loud moments. Overall, I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars for the entertainment value, but a thumbs down for the gross language. Jim in NH
