This movie was really good. Full of suspense and action. Halle Berry was at her best with lots of emotion. Not one sleepy moment during the whole movie in fact was on the edge of my seat the whole time. You gotta see this one.

I had read mixed reviews on this, but 4 of us decided to go, anyway. We were so glad we had ignored the negative reviews. There were some flaws in parts of the movie, but we were all captured by the action from a few minutes into the movie and the tension never let go! Halle Berry is good. Abigail Breslin is good. The male psychopath was good. We did leave with some unanswered questions which could have better been answered in the movie, but all it did for us was to make for interesting speculation over dinner. As we left the theater, several people were having reactions similar to ours.
If I had any criticism, it would have been for the directing. A couple of scenes needed some fleshing out, but the criticism is not strong enough to keep me from recommending this movie. If you like intense, GO! (Not for kids or early adolescents!)

Ingenious topic! Imposing, compelling scenario, married with Halle Berry’s consummate characterization; director Brad Anderson and writer Richard D’ Ovidio open the windows to the innermost bowels, mechanisms of the 911 Emergency “hive” in Los Angeles. The sophistication of the tracking devices; frenetic cacophony, seconds culminating in success or failure; never having spent a modicum of mental muscle wondering about the operators, technicians behind the millions of emergency calls, this was eye- opening, educational, mesmerizing. Anderson and D’Ovidio illuminate a ubiquitous, unsung craft and its uncelebrated, unacknowledged, unknown heroes...

After reading critics reviews "hard to beat," and even "fun," and film warnings that included
"Disturbing wigs," I thought it would be enjoyable, at least mildly. And face it, who isn't curious about "disturbing wigs?" (Halle Berry's- and yes, it was). But this movie grabbed me by the jugular from the onset and never let up. Gruesome, frightening, disturbing, - actually almost made me have to leave to vomit more than once. Do not see if you are squeamish or have a teenage daughter. Particularly with blonde hair. I actually came home and checked my dark closets. This was just CREEPY. Suspenseful? Yes. Taut? Yes. Not badly made, either. Just not the kind of psycho I want embedded in my brain.

I was surprise to see Halle's character step out of the box to help the missing young lady. She was awesome! This is a must see movie!
