    Beautifully Charming

Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson are a match made in movie performances! This movie will make you see the life in living each day. Both characters (Freeman, Nicholson) are hospitalized with cancer, and end up sharing the same hospital room of which Nicholson's character owns. THey begin to grow on one another as they get to know eachother and set off to do the things in life they've never acheived. Both characters are given an estimated time that they will stay alive before they "hit the bucket" and vow to accomplish every goal written on their Bucket List- even if one has to continue the work by themself. This movie made me realize why Jack Nicholson is such a great and well respected actor. This role was written for Jack Nicholson and could not have been played any better by any other actor. Morgan Freeman brings a joyous, optimistic and kind character that we love see him play. I cried throughout most of the movie simply because it touched my heart. This is a movie worth watching

    A beautiful film

    by Richmi

I read the "professional" critiques of this movie on this site before I went to see it. I'm very glad that I didn't allow them to weigh on my decision to see the movie. Frankly, I'm not sure the critics even saw the same movie I did... and in a sense I'm quite sure that they didn't.

I found this to be a beautifully moving film. It gave Jack and Morgan the opportunity to play the types personalities that most of us have probably come to expect and enjoy from them. If you are expecting different persona's then you may be disappointed. If you are in a family who has a member currently dealing with cancer, or any life threatening illness, then this film has the potential to touch on numerous emotions. This could help to bring about a sense of freedom and relief or it could stir up things that one may not want stirred. It depends upon the person and their choices.

Personally, I laughed, cried and found myself leaving with a little more clarity about what is important to me in my life.

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman were superb! The movie was extremely funny yet sad at times. I would recommend the young and young at heart to see it.

The Bucket List - A Treasure

I went to see this movie on Christmas Day - the day it actually opened here. I had pretty high expectations, given the pairing of Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I was not prepared for what a perfect film this is. They took a somewhat morbid premise - two terminally ill older guys sharing a hospital room - and turned it into a funny, touching, amazing movie. These two movie stars - and that's what I consider Mr. Nicholson and Mr. Freeman - were incredibly believable as they went through the torture and discomfort of cancer treatment. They then decided to create a "bucket list" - a list of those things they wanted to do before they died. What an adventure this was! They explored, they experienced things and they took us along for the ride. We found that Jack's character had an enormous heart and that Morgan Freeman was just as nice a man as we always thought he was. I don't want to give away too much of the story but viewers here stood and applauded at the end. Go see it!

    The Bucket List

This was a truely touching movie. It makes you really think about life and how fragile it is. Be prepared to laugh and cry at the same time. After seeing "The Bucket List" I held my boyfriend's a little tighter, and told everyone that are close to my heart, I loved them, because they could be gone the next day. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson did an excellent job playing two strangers who held each other for the good. I highly recommend it.

    Bring out the awards!!!!

    by

This was such an excellent movie! Bar none!! The performances cast by both actors was top notch. Pay the price, you will not regret it!! Nicholson and Freeman are two of Hollywood's finest actors...They play off each other like a finely tuned orchestra. Truly touching film. Mark up another one for Rob Reiner!!

    The Bucket List

It was exactly as expected. Both the actors roles were perfect for their character. Had well meaning content, which we need to see more of today. I'd go see it again. My husband agrees :)
We both laughed and I cried. There were some super scenes which show the greatest in the theater.
I believe it is good for all ages. The very young would probably get bored. Outstanding show for relaxing and enjoying your evening.

    The Bucket List

Hard to decide whether Jack or Morgan should get the Best Actor Oscar for their performance. Both were excellent. This movie is a MUST SEE for everyone.

    A GREAT TeamUp!

This is one of those films easily overlooked during the time of the BIG Award Nominated films, but, please, don't. It's a warm, touching, and highly enjoyable film. There are no sudden life saving miracles for the two men who put together the 'bucket list' while they share a room in a cancer ward, but there ARE 'life confirming revelations' for them. Kudos to the film's casting directors, they could not have picked better than Nicholson and Freemen. They are the perfect mismatched couple. The film also reminds us all to start thinking about making our own 'bucket lists', while there's still time in our lives to do them. Regardless of our age, it there to remind us that life is to be lived and, most of all, shared; see this one.

    Bucket List

    by deni19

Ignore those who give this movie a less than FABULOUS rating! Unless you are extremely shallow, you will come away from this movie with something to gain - inner reflection. Aside from the incredible performances of Nicholson and Freeman, the film locations are magnificent. Beautifully done all the way around!

THE MOVIE IS ONE OF KIND!

    by

FIRST I'D LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS NOT A CHICK-FLICK (BUT CAN BE ENJOYED BY YOU LADIES) BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE AROUND ME ARE THINKING THIS WAY!?!? Second, this movie was awsome. Third, this movie was awsome. Getting back to the first thing, this the kind of the movie you see with a bro, a father, an uncle, a best friend or a mother to be fully enjoyed and apreciated. Awsome movie! HIGHLY recommended by me. I really loved it (I am even writing my own bucket list for future purposes). Go See It.

Get out a pad and pencil...

Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson were excellent in this movie.
The LocoLane3 ?three of us who should probably think about making our own list?saw this together along with another friend. We all had one comment in common: it was a much better film than we had anticipated. The adventures were a huge fantasy, and that?s OK, but still the film was also very moving in many ways. It brought tears to my eyes, having recently lost my precious wife who wasn?t able to complete many of the items on her list. This is a good movie for almost everyone, but I suspect the 60+ crowd will enjoy it the most.
