Excellent!
This was the best movie I have seen all year. The acting was superb, and the director offered a different climate and pace by illuminating what fear can drive us to do. This movie was not about seeking justice, but rather coming to terms with immobilizing fear and facing our personal demons. I loved it!!

Great movie with surprise ending.
I basically went to this movie because my brother loves Jodie Foster. Didn't go in expecting anything. But I came out with a new appreciation for both Jodie Foster's and Terrence Howard's acting abilities. Also, the music was brilliant--not intrusive, yet it contributed to the action (or lack thereof) as needed.
I originally stated that the movie was very well-written, evenly paced, and overall cinematography was excellent. But upon reflection, I remembered several situations in which a real New Yorker would never find him/herself. I also remembered the unneeded sex scenes between Foster's character and her boyfriend. They added nothing to the rest of the story (we already knew they loved each other).
Overall a good movie--just make sure that you *really* suspend your disbelief before going in.

THE BRAVE ONE..
Excellent
Jodie Foster and Terrance Howard played
superb roles...
I hope this movie and both actors
get nominated for oscars

Great, strong character.
You cheer for her all the way! Her struggle is touching and the story is believable. The cop surprises you in the end and it's great.

Slow to go, but gets there eventually
Low budget set that has a obessive woman driven to kill all wrong doers, including those who killed her fiance. She suceeds, but not without the help of an african american detective who seems to be attracted to her. Movie is slow going and the ending not too realistic.
