Best Movie of 2009, period!

Saw this movie premier in King of Prussia (near Philly)! Worth every minute of my attention and the strain put on my neck to look up at the screen, I can't believe it took this long to come out! As the director Troy Duffy (who was on hand) put it, its everything you like about the first one mixed with everything that makes a good sequel. The plot twists and gun fighting are not typical Hollywood, and the addition of Julie Benz to the cast make this a knockout. If you haven't seen the original in a while, be sure to give that a play, you will appreciate this film that much more. I can't wait until this comes out so that i may see it again, hopefully with a better seat!

Great movie! Definitely did not disappoint. I loved all the humor and crazy scenes. The brothers are as funny as they were before. Not exactly the same style as the last one. They added a little more of the nutty flashbacks. I thought it was funny though. The killings sprees are beautiful.

I am a rather eccentric fan of the origional Boondock Saints and still place it (litterally) on a shelf reserved for the best of the best. Much to my suprise, I found out rather last minute that a sequal was about ready to hit theaters... much more to my suprise I found out none of those theaters were in San Diego. So me and a friend set out on the 6 hour round trip drive to LA to see this movie opening night. It was well worth it. I admit, my faith was questioned in the first 5-10 minutes of the movie where I was overwhelmed by the feeling that the movie was trying way to hard to be just like the origional; however, shortly after it managed to fall right into the flow of things. This movie delievers everything the origional managed to... almost exactly. This brings me to its one and only flaw. Its almost a cut and paste copy of the origional. The exact same scenes played out with different characters. But you know what? It worked... well.
