Saw this film yesterday afternoon and still cannot stop dreaming, thinking about it. Well made, terrific foreshadowing and nuances, meaningful story, great acting. Not like so many films where the plot is obvious. I strongly recommend.

Incredible movie from plot through acting. Gave me a new perspective on the people of Germany during WW2 and what they went through under well as the human side of the many people who put their lives on the line to save others.

Very well done and true to the book

This is one of my all-time favorite books, and although the book is still way better than the movie, I thought the movie was great. It stayed pretty true to the book (though, of course, there were some side plots that were minimized) and it was really beautifully made.

Book Thief was amazing

The power of words and actions in the wake of the Nazi Reign on a common German Family and their strife, is truly amazing. Risking their lives to take in and hide a young Jewish man. The love this family showed this young man was truly remarkable, touching and sad. The acting was superb and the young girl/ woman Sophie Nelisse who plays Leizel was amazing as well as the performances by Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson. The setting and costumes were very fitting. Loved the ones scene by the lake with the two childhood friends condemning Hitler.

This is a movie that you will never forget. It touched every person in the audience. You can't see this movie and not have it effect you. The acting is superb and each actor pulls you into their character.
