LITERALLY fell out of my seat laughing.

Worst movie ever made! Perfect for riffing. The MST3K guys are so funny. They make bad movies far more fun than good movies. Even if you never watched MST3k, you will love this!

    Fantastic

    by

This was a wonderful moving going experience. It makes me even sadder than I missed Manos the week before. I would go again in an instant and would recommend it to everyone.

    I almost died of laughter

    by

I've been a fan of these guys since Mystery Science Theater 3000. My girlfriend is a big fan as well and was the one who let me know about. We saw it as a date and kept choking on our popcorn and soda. If their events ever come to your town GO!! This is a great experience. Next time one of these pop up I'm buying our tickets first thing.

    Great as usual

Very funny riff. Lots of laughs. Highly recommend any and all Rifftrax events. I attend every chance I get and am never disappointed.

    Plan 9 gets a 10!!

The Rifftrax trio had their jobs cut out for them on this one. How to you take a movie that is so gob-smackingly bad, that is so full of static, disjointed, and totally cheap scenes that it is already hilarious on its own? Fortunately the guys pulled it off, so well that I was laughing to the point of tears several times. The movie short "Airline Stewardesses" preceded it, which presented another chance for them to mock the dry-as-sheetrock info film from the 1950s. The only drawback was the intermission, which included some unwashed looking dude I'd never heard of but who apparently had a following in the live theater, considering there were quite a few ladies singing along with his obscure music. Maybe it's a Nashville thing. Still, nothing could detract from the joyous pain of watching Bela, Tor, and Vampira while having the Rifftrax crew tear it apart.

It was the worse of times, it was the best of times!

Definitely one of the worse movies ever made but the the RiffTrax guys kept me laughing. So glad we went. Love seeing the guys on the big screen. Not sure where Ed Woods' head was when writing this story. much less directing the movie!

    Riffers great, everything else sucked

Mike, Kevin and Bill are the best movie riffers ever! The riffing on the short about stewardesses and on Plan 9 was great! The opening act with the guy playing guitar was horrible and not at all funny or interesting. I realize they'd like to have some sort of audience participation, but this is NOT the way to go.

The faux commercials were terrible too and worse than mediocre YouTube stuff. It's 3rd grade humor and seemingly endless duration is also not consistant with Rifftrax in any way.

Do yourself a favor. Skip the first 30 minutes and show up just before Plan 9.
The guitar guy and the commercial guy absolutely suck and I could tell by the rest of the audience that I wasn't the only one that felt that way.

I've been to 3 Rifftrax Live events now and have enjoyed all the movie riffing enough to keep attending, but the opening acts have always been bad. I expect more (or less) from these time fillers. C'mon guys, you can do much better.

    Problem with sound in theater

    Riffs were excellent as always.

However, sound only came from the left hand side of the theater. Nothing came from the speakers on the right.

    Tearing Apart A Sci-Fi Stinker!

Riffing on a movie as bad as Plan 9 is difficult, but the RiffTrax crew brought it to a new level of fun. It was my birthday treat to myself and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am looking forward to their next event.

Plan Nine - the Mixed Bag!

    by

Have never watched a riffed version of Plan Nine because the movie is so funny without it. As I figured, the movie riffed isn't as big a deal as one might hope for. There WERE some really good jokes, but probably only a half-dozen - I laughed more at the movie than the jokes. It was good to see PN on a big screen, though the non-colorized version would have been a better choice. I didn't care for the Heroin jokes at Bela Lugosi's expense - there were other joke possibilities for those moments that would have been just as funny and not cruel...that's Mike's sensibilities shining through, he has always had a cruel, demeaning side to some of his jokes I don't care for. Overall, to see the movie on a big screen was worth it. The riffing, not so much. The short, 'Flying Stewardess', was much more suited to the riff treatment.
