The Bank Job
My husband and I went to see this flick on one of our bi-weekly evening dates out on the town (leaving our 3 year old with a babysitter). Since I don't go out much these days, I am even more choosy about movies than I used to be. This one caught my eye, as well as that of my husband's. I must say it was very exciting and for the entire length of the film I did not think even once about work, my child or the hundreds of things that I need to get done everyday. It was a great flick and I am sure if it were set in America, it would have been terrible. The whole class/accent thing in the UK makes this film work well. I am sure that there will be a Hollywood remake in a few years that will be awful...And prior to the film, I knew nothing about this bank heist in London...After the film, I was combing webpages for information on the real event - yes,it really did happen and some parts of the movie were true to what really happened. I highly recommend this film as a very good thriller .

The Bank Job
I realize this movie has been out since March, but this is a great summer-type flick. Really good acting and a true suspense thriller. There is right balance of plot, adventure and graphic depiction of the underworld of espionage crime and government! This is based on a real story, so as incredible as the detailed plot gets, it actually happened, this just added to the fun of the experience.

The Bank Job
Fun capper, especially since it's based on a "true story".
The lead man and women are hot, too.
Nice way to spend an evening

Frustrating plot
This movie frustrated me because of all the stupid situations these men put themselves in. I wanted to knock some sense into them.

Everybody lies
This is a smart caper movie that explores crime at many levels -- the gang itself, the criminal underworld, and the lawbreakers of Scotland Yard. When a dope smuggler gets hold of nude pictures of Princess Margaret, Scotland Yard encourages the gang of unwitting, second-rate thieves to steal them back. Thinking they are only after money in safe-deposit boxes, the gang gets not only the pictures but other incriminating do***ents owed by criminal kingpins. The result is that they are pursued by the Yard, the criminal world, and the police. Athough the actual caper is lackluster, and the film takes too long to set it up, the unraveling of plans in the second half is exciting, and charmingly free of the moralizing denial of "honor among thieves" common in the genre. Ably directed by Roger Donaldson (No Way Out) Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows head a uniformly fine cast, with David Suchet sublime as the porn king of SoHo.

Explosively Realistic
This dark drama wonderfully portraits the long-untold story of the Baker Street Bank Robbery. This excellent cast beautifully uncovers the intrigue and mystery surrounding this historic event which sent shivers through the highest corridors of power in Whitehall.

Bank Job not a bust
The Bank Job was a great bank heist movie with sufficient depth, quirky characters and a real "old movie" feel. Highly entertaining but not overly shallow.
