'Astronaut Farmer' is sequel to and synonymous with 'Armageddon' and 'Silent Running'

    by KenFriedman

Billy Bob Thorton is given the chance in (Astronaut Farmer)...to fulfill his dream...as dismissed because of physical 'foot brace' limitations in (Armageddon)...to become a rocket man. The cameo appearance of Bruce Willis (Armgeddon) and Bruce Dern (Silent Running) show sheer determination and commitment to fulfill humble and 'space worthy' accomplishments for mankind and the environment. I too was brought up to follow my dreams. All three movies are a must for family awarness library.

    Accurate

Billy Bob Thorton plays a man with a dream that never gives up. A fair amount of humor through-out. Gotta love the feebies! Will the movie spur someone to do it for real?!?!????? Good movie to take the kids to as well.

    really good

One of the few movies I could enjoy with my kids, that isn't animated. Some very funny parts, and several great actors/actresses. I'd recomend it to anyone.

    The Astronaut Farmer

We, all seven of us loved the movie! Our ages ranged from 7 to 53 and all felt the same way. It's definately going to a major classic for many, many years to come. Thank you to all involved for writing an awesome story for our whole family to enjoy!

    Astronaut Farmer

This is a wholesome family movie... It has some realistic items pertaining to everyday life, but it is a movie about hopes and dreams...

Everyone must have hope and everyone must have dreams.. Without them what is the point?

Billy Bob Thornton did an excellent job portraying a husband, father and one with a dream he wouldn't let die...

It is about a family pulling together under adversity...
