The Adventures of Tin Tin

I loved the movie! I think Steven Spielberg did a wonderful job in creating an authentic, intriguing, engaging story line. I enjoyed what I thought was a combination between human and animated characters. The acting was superb, and the special effects, outstanding. In some ways, I would have wanted the story to keep closer to the original book, This would apply especially for us, Tin Tin purists. Nevertheless, the combination of stories worked well for the audience. I recoomend it without doubt to both children and adults. My son and husband are also fans of Tin Tin stories, and they both enjoyed it quite a bit.. Seeing the characters come from book characters into the big screen was fascinating.

One of the best animated movie I've seen in a long time

I remember being read the Tin Tin comic script when I was very young. I liked to homage to the old comic strip. Took my whole family to see it day after Christmas. Story line was great. I can see now where Spielberg growing up with Tin Tin was the inspiration for the Indiana Jones movies. The 3D was as good as Avatar or Panda 3D. Not over powering, but gave a rich field of depth. This is one of the movies I wouldn't mind having at home in 3D. sigh, my TV is not up to it...

Enjoyed the movie. The CG was, in my opinion, not up to standard. All the characters looked like wax museam figures. Overall, on a scale of 1-10 I would rate this one a 6.

It was so-so movie for me. It was not boring, but at the same time, it wasn't very entertaining. May be kids will like it more, not sure. But for me, other than couple of fight scenes and ocean scenes, nothing else was impressive. If they release next Tintin movie, I am not so sure I would see the movie in the theater.
