Very exciting and scary. Had me at the edge of my seat. I don't usually like to see these type of movies but I went with my family and felt some comfort knowing they were with me. They will be going back to see it again but not me. I think I'll stay home. Too creepy!

Fun horror ride

Had a good time with this movie last night. Great follow-up that totally disregards all of the original sequels and the remake series. The beginning of the film takes place right as the original ends and then jumps ahead a couple of decades to make a well-rounded storyline. They take some interesting twists and turns with the plot to actually make a non-predictable story. More intelligent than it has a right to be. Some gory scenes, a few eyeroll moments, mostly unlikable characters, decent writing, good cinematography and a little extra 3D fun allowed me to enjoy it a lot but all those things mixed together didn't allow me to LOVE it. Good movie for fans of classic horror, casual viewers of the genre may not feel the same.

No Bueno

I only saw this movie to see Trey Songz's acting debut. He did just okay but the script as a whole was terrible. The movie didn't have enough of a story line. The beginning was also weird. I almost walked out in the first 5 minutes. I would recommend seeing this movie at your nearest $1 theater in a few weeks. We also laughed more than anything so if you want a real horror flick don't see it. The 3d effect was also low. I gues it's just another way to raise the price.

While I totally appreciated scenes from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre showing up, oddly enough one scene that made me afraid as a child, I felt like this movie was decent but predictable. Hot guys+ Hot girls+ road trip= DISASTER in a horror film, everyone knows that! I say watch it, especially to the fans of Trey Songz because he actually did a pretty good job in his role, not to mention he goes shirtless ladies!!!

LEATHERFACE!

So, Texas Chainsaw 3D. If you're an absolute TCM fanatic this film is a MUST SEE for the opening alone. I also have to add that the film is worth it if only for the cameos from the original. Other than that it's a nice stand-alone horror movie. This incarnation of Leatherface is the closest to the original than in any other TCM remake/spinoff, and even sports the original tie! There are a few good scares, but I'd like someone to explain how a character that was a baby in 1974 is so young in 2012. That's the only problem I had with this picture.... Would I see it again? Yes, but I think I can wait until a home viewing.
