Go See This Movie But Don't Waste Your Money For 3D

First Off Let Me Say That I Hate The Fact That Hollywood Has Ran Out Of Ideas And The Remakes Of These Horror Classics Is Pathethic. But This Movie Was An Exception And Actually Well Done.It Has A Very Different Concept For The Franchise And It Has A New Spin On The History Of The Sawyer Family. The Beginning Shows You What Happened After Sally Hardesty Escaped In The Original Classic. Then The Story Expands From What Took Place And Takes Off From There. It Has A Good Amount Of Blood And Guts And Keeps You On The Edge Of Your Seat.In Closing It Is Definately A Must See Movie For All The TCM Fans But Dont Waste Your Money On The 3D Version. The 3D Version Only Had A Few Effects And They're Pretty Much Pathetic.

    Brutal!!!!!

The best part of the movie besides the cleavage shot ????? The ending and that is only because I didn't have to watch anymore of this terrible film. I don't know what planet these people are from that say it was good.

    Not so good...At all!!!

This was perhaps one of the stupidest horror flicks in recent months. I could not get over the silly acting and special effects. Platinum Dunes Texas Chainsaw remakes were far better than this. Don't waste your money or time going to watch this movie.

    It was OK.

Texas Chainsaw 3D was a ok movie, the kill scenes were so so, the acting was horrible, I am not trying to sound like a hater but Trey Songz is one of the worst actors in the world, but I can honesly say the only thing that saved thsi movie from being a "NO" was the plot. The plot started off slowly but ended very hastly. In my opinion I would not pay $15.00 to see this movie and I would wait till it comes out on DVD.

    pleasantly surprised

well done movie. the story line was pretty good as well as the graphics, i get why they chose 3-D but it really wasn't necessary. it was a complete movie and a TRUE sequel. For those that are looking for a deep blockbuster film... get it together. Its Texas Chainsaw...it was never that serious to begin with. This was a good movie for it to be Texas chainsaw, definitely exceeded my expectations.

    THAT WAS FUN!!!

I watched the original in 1974 at the drive-in theater when I was only 16 and it scared the living crap out of me. To this day I still hate the sound of chainsaws! No, seriously, I do. I was anxious to see what they could do with this movie. I'll say this - never in a million years did I ever think I'd actually cheer for Leatherface, but I did. What kind of person does that make me? I actually felt a little sorry for him. Only a very, very little...but a little, nontheless. This movie gives you a bit of backstory on him. And I did like that it begins with shots from the original movie. It was really cool to see the cameo appearances by actors and actresses from the original movie. If you pay close attention, the original Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen) is actually in this movie (minus the leather face). And the original surviving girl is also in it. AND Clint Eastwood's son, Scott, is in it, too. It was a good remake. The 3D was okay. It would've been just as good with or without it.

    Pretty Good

    by Jorge O

This movie is the ****. It's a pretty cool movie. Totally different from Texas Chainsaw Massacre real story movie. This has nothing to do with the original movie. This is something completely different but very entertainment. The 3D effects on this movie where also pretty good. Over all I really enjoyed watching this movie.

Texas Chainsaw 3D. I was honestly expecting more gore...but truly this was more about a story than anything else. Heather, the cousin of our beloved Leatherface found her true family and feels for him and understands whats going on in his head. I truly hope there is another one showing their relationship. Fantastic movie. A MUST BUY when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray.

    less 3D disappointed

    by

I was really disappointed because this movie suppose to have 3D all the way, it was less 3D than I expected. Kinda went boring, It suppose to scare me like the other Chainsaw massacre I've seen. so far this movie really wasn't that good

    LEATHERFACE!

So, Texas Chainsaw 3D. If you're an absolute TCM fanatic this film is a MUST SEE for the opening alone. I also have to add that the film is worth it if only for the cameos from the original. Other than that it's a nice stand-alone horror movie. This incarnation of Leatherface is the closest to the original than in any other TCM remake/spinoff, and even sports the original tie! There are a few good scares, but I'd like someone to explain how a character that was a baby in 1974 is so young in 2012. That's the only problem I had with this picture....
Would I see it again? Yes, but I think I can wait until a home viewing.

    Fun horror ride

    by

Had a good time with this movie last night. Great follow-up that totally disregards all of the original sequels and the remake series. The beginning of the film takes place right as the original ends and then jumps ahead a couple of decades to make a well-rounded storyline. They take some interesting twists and turns with the plot to actually make a non-predictable story. More intelligent than it has a right to be. Some gory scenes, a few eyeroll moments, mostly unlikable characters, decent writing, good cinematography and a little extra 3D fun allowed me to enjoy it a lot but all those things mixed together didn't allow me to LOVE it. Good movie for fans of classic horror, casual viewers of the genre may not feel the same.

    Texas Chainsaw 3D

    by Glitzy

Very exciting and scary. Had me at the edge of my seat. I don't usually like to see these type of movies but I went with my family and felt some comfort knowing they were with me. They will be going back to see it again but not me. I think I'll stay home. Too creepy!

    Just another sequel

its always good to see another chapter in an iconic franchise, and even though we fans always hope that this one will be a triumphant return to the horror genre, we come to expect nothing more than the same'ole same'ole with only a few exciting twists here and there...that is what you get with this movie. its good to see it, but theres nothing great about it. the story twist is appreciated, but isnt delivered in the best way. it seems as though most of the audience was looking forward to seeing r&b singer, Trey Songz in his first major film debut...he did good i must say (i was surprised), but if eye candy is the major encouragement behind people coming to see your horror movie, im not sure if that is a great thing. hmmm

The producers should stop making texas movies. The acting was good... plot and storyline bad!! Don't try to make me feel compassion for a cold blooded murderer!! Please! WTH.... Texas with Jessica Biel a great film.
