Tea With Mussolini review

Tea with Mussolini is a semi-autobiographical film directed by Franco Zeffirelli, telling the story of young Italian boy Luca's upbringing by a kind British woman and her circle of friends. In the closeing texts we learn Luca went on to become an artist and help in the making of the film — i.e., as director Franco Zeffirelli. I seen this rich movie-ness recently and found appealing, interesting and well done entertainment. The movie is heightened by the talents involved.

Despite maudlin reviews, give this one a chance! Heartfelt and tender with outstanding work from Cher, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, and Lily Tomlin.
