Better on the big screen

I had seen To Kill a Mockingbird only on the small screen prior to last night's showing. I knew it was a powerful movie but, on the big screen, it is even more powerful than I knew. I was moved to tears several times and chuckled at other times. I noticed details I had never seen before. The feeling of the movie stayed with me long after leaving the theater. I would love to see other moves this way.

This was a great experience. Totally enthralling. You become totally involved in the plot and live the experiences with the characters. The acting is impecable. The filming techniques are so much better than computer animation, there is no comparison. A movie of this calibur is a rarity and belongs on the big screen.

To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite movie. I've seen it many, many times on TV, but seeing it on the big screen made me appreciate it even more. And the behind the scenes info shared before the movie began was great. So much I didn't know! What a great idea to bring this classic film to theaters to be appreciated by so many of all ages! The acting is superb. Everyone is perfect in their role. Being a native Atlantan, I have always appreciated the authentic southern accents. Especially Scout, Jem and Dill's. Great story and character development. To Kill a Mockingbird has it all, humor, sadness, an understanding of the human spirit and the power of a child's words. All in all, a great way to spend an evening.

We loved it. All the acting was superb, the story galloped along at a great pace, and I was rivited to it. Wish today's movies were as gripping. No color, no special effects ... just first-rate acting and story telling. Thanks for making it available to see again after all those years. Hope you're planning to have more of those oldies but wonderful goodies. We'll see every one, in spite of the fact that we almost never go see current movies. We hate the jumpy graphics, the profanity, the all-too-graphic sex and the super-loud so-called music in current offerings. Karen, FL

We loved the big screen version of To Kill a Mockingbird! It was emotional right from the very beginning. Loved every bit of it!
