To Kill a Mockingbird 50th Anniversary

Fantastic! This has always been my favorite movie (and favorite book), since childhood (I'm now age 62!) It had a great impact on me when I saw it as a child. It was wonderful to see it in a theater and thank goodness nobody has made the stupid mistake of colorizing this classic black and white film! The additional historical information about how the movie was made was just terrific. This is an important movie -- as important now as when it was made. And, a movie for the entire family with plenty of themes for valuable and educational family discussion. A great experience. Please keep showing these great classics in movie theaters for those of us too young to see them on the big screen when they first came out.

Excellent historical drama

Besides being a classic, this movie is a historical marker of how things used to be in the South. It also shows how and why things needed to change in order to bring all of us into the future. The two unknown kids were superb. Peck does an outstanding job both as a lawyer and as a father. Was surprised, as this was my first viewing, to see the introduction of Robert Duvaul. Highly recommend the movie, and kudos to TCM for bringing the series of classics to the big screen for today's audiences. Love the introduction and background pieces at the beginning. Much better than the stupid sound bites and previews of coming attractions.

To Kill A Mockingbird has been my favorite movie since I was 10 yrs old. I had only since it on the television. Thanks to TMC with their one night only showing on a big movie screen, it gave me the chance to see Mockingbird in a whole new dimension. It was a totally different experience watching it with an audience. The picture quality was outstanding and the sound and music were amazing! It gave me a chance to see and hear the movie in a way that tv can never do. I highly recommend if you ever get the opportunity to see this on the big screen to take advantage of it. It has made me a bigger fan if that is possible.

Thank you, Fathom Events and Regal Cinemas Commerce NJ for showing To Kill A Mockingbird on the big screen. Might just be the best movie ever made - totally honest, amazing for its time! Hard to imagine anyone but Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch. The role of a lifetime in a movie that transcends time..

Excellent!! One of the very best films ever made, and my favorite--every part is played perfectly by the actors--very true to Harper Lee's novel. It was wonderful to see this film again on the big screen--and to hear Elmer Bernstein's beautiful score. I could watch that film over and over and never tire of it. This is a film that should be seen by viewers of all ages. Hard to believe that this was the only role to win a Best Actor Oscar for Gregory Peck. He was magnificent in all of his films!
