It was as good (or better!) the 20th time as it was the first time! A timeless story that brings tears to my eyes every time.

Watched "To Kill A Mockingbird" yesterday at the Rockaway AMC with two other people. Also a favorite of mine. It made me laugh and cry. It was amazing to watch on the big screen. You tend to pay more attention to it. Much more of an impact on the big screen. A must see for anyone who loves the old black and white films.

It sounds so cliche to say they don't make movies like this anymore but when was the last time you saw a move that didn't have special effects and computer generated stuff. This is a movie about people and the emotions that we all share, The close ups of the actors faces which you don't see on a tv screen are central to the appreciation of the story. The music tells a story itself and is perfect as Elmer Bernstein always is,( Magnificent Seven.. The Great Escape among many others) The chemistry among the actors is perfection and what more can be said about Gregory Peck. He is Atticus Finch. Go see this on the big screen if you can. It is a totally new experience . It will stay with you forever. Thanks to TCM and please do more on the big screen.

I had seen To Kill a Mockingbird only on the small screen prior to last night's showing. I knew it was a powerful movie but, on the big screen, it is even more powerful than I knew. I was moved to tears several times and chuckled at other times. I noticed details I had never seen before. The feeling of the movie stayed with me long after leaving the theater. I would love to see other moves this way.
