To Kill A Mocking Bird

Simply put, it was a fantastic experience. I have viewed this movie on the small screen at home but it did not do justice to the Big Screen experience. There were many nuances that were readily noticed and that could not be seen on a TV. Gregory Peck's performance was nothing short of amazing. His interaction with his children, the town people and the black community was so clearly ahead of its time. To see the facial expressions, the scenes without dialogue as well as the very simple, direct and well written dialogue between the characters shows why tis movie is so revered. I wish there could be a theatre that continually showed the great movies from the 30's, 40', 50's and 60's that are far better than the special effects generated movies, completely relying on action rather than character development and good acting. Thank goodness for Turner Classic Movies, Ben Mankiewitz and Robert Osborne for providing great movies to view.

Amazingly Moving

I couldn't believe that a movie I had seen countless times on TV could move me to tears. The dignity of Gregory Peck's interpretation of Atticus Finch and the obvious true affection that was exhibited between Scott and Atticus that spilled over into the real life actors was absolutely wonderful. With the big screen, big feelings and concepts seemed to be the right size for emotions and social statements. Mind blowing!

This was SUPER! It was wonderful to see this amazing story on the big screen - Anyone that missed this showing missed a once in a lifetime event. See the "classics" on a big screen is like seeing something for the first time! It was a great evening. Bring us MORE!!

One of the best movies ever made. It was wonderful to finally be able to see it on the big screen..even better. It was also great to see a pack theater. The great scipt, wonderful acting and always pertinent message will hopefully never be forgotten. Last, the music. Even with the superbness of what I already mentioned, the music makes the movie greater by expressing the feeling of the moment. Loved it.
