A great movie in a great setting

Casablanca is one of my favorites of all time, but all my life, I've seen it under less-than-ideal conditions: on a television screen. I could not resist the opportunity to see it on the big screen for this special 70th anniversary event, and it proved a temptation well worth giving in to. So much of it is larger-than-life -- the legends who acted in it, the set (especially Rick's), the scenes (such as the Marseillaise scene), and the immortal lines (especially those from Claude Rains) from Julius and Philip Epstein's masterful script -- it deserves to be viewed at least once in one's life in the larger-than-life setting that theater's offer. It's nice that I can now cross this dream off my bucket list, but I hope to repeat the experience again sometime.

I have seen this movie many, many times and there is nothing like seeing this movie on the big screen, in a sold out theater with people of all ages including children. Thank you so much TCM for this opportunity!!!

Great movie shown in its original format (non-colorized) and full length. The movie shows why it has stood the test of time and is one of the most loved movies of all time. There is intrigue, love lost, cynicism, the struggle for freedom against the worst tyranny, greed, and it shows how the human soul can struggle with it self and in the end, make the difficult decision that benefits all of mankind over the needs of the one. A great experience and movie!!!

It's amazing what modern technology can do for a film as old as this and of course a favorite of so many and a treasure to some. Seeing it on a large movie screen, something that wasn't done since the last century and two years before I was born, was both fun and also nostalgic. Most of those in the audience were in my age range - 60's, so you know they came for an experience they too could enjoy and invoke memories. Picture quality and sound were superb. It was also nice to see and hear in a pre-movie presentation, some of those involved in the making of the film. I don't like movie critics because I don't like people telling me what I should like or dislike. So you have to see it for yourself and make your own conclusions, but for myself I'll give it five stars out of five*****

I loved seeing this movie in the theater and experiencing what people in 1942 did when it first came out. In my opinion, one of the best movies ever made and I can not get enough of it. I can watch this movie over and over and never tire of it.
