In this unpretentious romantic comedy, Betty (Cheryl Clifford) and Arnold (Peter Welch), two extremely shy people, meet over the phone, gradually develop a rich phone relationship, and move on to know one another face-to-face. Betty is an attractive, thirtysomething spinster. Arnold is recovering from a bad relationship. Beginning with short conversations on the phone, Betty and Arnold get to the point where Arnold begins "talking dirty" to Betty. Betty finds this terribly arousing.
