Sybil Temchen

Biography

Actress Sybil Temchen has been appearing in films since 1996, when she debuted in Ten Benny, an independent drama about being down-and-out in Newark, New Jersey. The following year, she had a supporting role in Floating, an independent coming-of-age drama starring Norman Reedus and Chad Lowe. She appeared in yet another independent drama in 1998, when she could be seen in the critically acclaimed Restaurant. A look at a group of New Jersey bartenders and waiters dreaming of big breaks in the artistic community, it starred Adrien Brody and hip hop diva Lauryn Hill. In 1999, Temchen received multiple exposure in no less than four films: she could be seen as a starry-eyed ingenue in The Passion of Ayn Rand; a woman looking for love with a nice guy in Nice Guys Sleep Alone; a member of the Syracuse, New York community in Freak Talks About Sex; and a lovelorn Los Angelena in Body Shots. ~ Rebecca Flint Marx, Rovi
