I saw the movie a number of weeks ago. I found it to be overall very amusing political satire to an extreme. The story was very improbable, but, still the satire was great.

The movie was generally fun to watch at thre time. Afterwards, I was left with the feeling that, while there was a positive finish, the bulk of the movie focused on the negative aspects of Bud's character (Costner). His speech at the end was quotable. Unfortunately, most of the folks it speaks to probably won't listen long enough to figure it out.
