This was when SNLers were great! This movie is one of the funniest I've ever seen and it's when Bill Murry was in top form! See it!

as part of the Nick D. Movie club This month's offering in rosemont was of the Movie stripes. It was only 10 bucks with parking included. The movie itself i liked a lot along with a talk before and after by our host Nick who is on a major chicago radio station WGN overnights. The movie is rated R for some female full nudity and language so it is a great adult comedy. The cool part of the club night other atendees had not seen it the 20 times i've seen stripes. The plot involves a guy that basically doesnt have any direction ,John played by actor, director(quick change) B. Murray convinces his friend Russell played by the late actor, writer(Stripes, Animal House) to join the army, see the world. Madcap comedy ensues and a future american classic film now but released in 1981 still makes me laugh today. If you have or haven't seen it find the theatrical version on blu-ray or if your movie club hasnt showed it. ask for it. take catre for now. Im TKrause3g from Elmwood Pk
