By The Numbers Formula Flick Better Suited To TV.
Nic Cage or not, this one's left of dull. It's so "been there, done that" it's hard to imagine the producers getting anyone to finance a high priced talking mannequin like Cage, plus there?s an effects budget here as well. The only rational explanation is, since it's shot in New Orleans, the film company rode the "Katrina" gravy boat all the way to the bank. My guess is that ?free? money lake?s got to be getting all but dried up by now. Anyway, if you're looking for BIG movie entertainment, you might want to look elsewhere. If you're a Cage fan and just want to spend your dough for one more look see, oh well, who's to judge? You might want to save a couple of bucks and catch the matinee or better yet, wait a week and catch the DVD in the discount bin at the dollar store. You'll be glad you did.
