This was unbelievably the best Step Up movie I have seen, and I thank God that when this came out at the time that "Dark Knight" movie came out which distracted many of the movie nuts like me, and by the way,"Dark Knight" was very disappointing to me as I loved the previous movie by Christian Bale who was totally in the movie, but not in Dark Knight!! Anyway, I chose to check on Step Up Revolution, because of this frustration, and guess what! I loved it so much and kept talking about it to those coming out of "Dark Knight" movie, and then they viewed it, and were totally surprised and loved it (Step Up Revolution) big time! It had a story in all avenues, "the Mob" fighting for their dancing area rites" going to be taken over by this realtor (whose daughter became inflamed with the "Mob" dancing), and joined the Mob to fight for their rites, and WOW! I cannot wait for it to come out so I can buy it!! Why is it taking so long to come out on DVD?

Dance sequences are pretty amazing. Great to see the "So You Think You Can Dance" dancers featured here.

I went with my 16 yr old granddaughter (multiple viewings by her) and she is passionate about her dancing. I have a dance background, too but not as extensive as hers. This movie held my interest and did it with "WOW-power". The only drawback is an obvious sexual overtone which makes it lean a bit towards 'trashy,' but the dance is the REAL winner in this movie. I like dance which is sensual but NOT trashy. I can almost 'feel' the heat coming from the 2 leads!!
Definity not for youngsters....upper teens>>>parents need to preview it. They'll walk out in some degree of an aroused state!! Make sure you, they are prepared for that eventuality. I suggest that you go with them if they'll have you!!
Has a broad message which is a very positive one overriding the whole show!

This STEP UP is a unique REVOLUTION of the ART OF DANCE. Borrowing dancers heavily from SYTYCD (SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE), ABDC (AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW), All the Right Moves, Tight Eyes (Creator of Krump and STREET KINGDOM), and Christopher Scott of LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers) and his crew. This was easily the best Step Up of the series and easily some of the best dance moves and routines in movies ever, especially the Art Museum routine. Blasted! The female lead, Kathryn McCormick needed to and did grow into her role. Mia Michaels was fab and choreographed a moving masterpiece. And the storyline was great and believable. Luv'd it! Dance aficionados; do not watch this movie in 3D. The dance lines are destroyed as the film become too artsy.

Dancing was great! My daughter is a dancer, and was enthralled with the whole movie. The acting however, was pretty terrible. Script was also pretty terrible. Go if you are a dancer, or if you like dancing, but don't expect much else.
