  • John (Jason Lee) is a hard working guy who only wants to marry his longtime girlfriend Elaine (Leslie Mann). They've vowed to marry once they've saved $30,000 for their dream house. Everything's heading in the right direction until John's sister calls to remind him of the promise he made to pay his niece's tuition...which will cost $29,829, and is due in two weeks. Unable to tell his girlfriend, John turns to his friend Duff (Tom Green) to help him get the money quickly. Somehow, his buddy convinces him to make a short-term commitment to petty crime. Had Stealing Harvard merely been a stupid movie about people stuck in a string of silly moments, it could have gotten by on charm. As written by Peter Tolan and directed by Bruce McCulloch (''Kids in the Hall'') it's a stupid movie about stupid people. Read full review
